As a computer user we should have the knowledge of managing our computer performance. We sometimes face that our computer is running slow day to day. Everyday some unnecessary files are being stored up after operating the computer, installing and uninstalling softwares. That’s why our computer is getting slower. After reading this post you will certainly have the concept of benchmarking your computer performance. I am discussing everything step by step.
1. Empty your Recycle Bin which generally stores the deleted files. Removing unnecessary files helps system run smoothly.
2. Delete all the temporary files. Start >> Write %temp% in Run Progaram >> Press Enter >> Press Shift + Delete key to clean all the temporary files. Temporary files slows down computer system. Removing these files regularly is much required for the performance.
3. Follow the process to clean up disk (i.e. WARNING! not formatting or not deleting your files). Go to My Computer >> Right Click on Hard Disk (C:) >> Properties >> in General Tab click on Disc Cleanup >> OK >> Delete Files. Disk cleanup is an important step for cleaning hard disk.
4. Go to Command Prompt. You can write cmd on Run Program and then press Enter key to go to Command Prompt. In Command Prompt write CHKDSK and press Enter key. This command rearranges all the files by checking the disk.
5. You can follow check disk process. This gives two types of scanning your disk. This speeds up the computer. Do this once a week. Go to Computer >> Right Click on Hard Disk >> Properties >> In Tools tab click on Check now >> Select ‘Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors’ >> Start. Again select ‘Automatically fix the system errors’ >> Start >> Schedule to Scan >> OK. Then restart your computer and it will scan as per scheduled scan.
6. Disk Defragment
Disk fragment is the most important process among all these steps. Disk defragment arranges the fragmented data and helps to run disk more efficiently. Do this at least four times a year. This will keep your disk healthy. Disk defragment speeds up the computer.
Go to Computer >> Right Click on Hard Disk >> Properties >> In Tools tab click on Defragment now >> Analyze Disk >> After that Defragment Disk.
7. Use WinUtilities Pro or Advanced System Cleaner software to clean the registry, history and temporary files. WinUtilities Pro has advanced system cleaning options that makes your computer faster. It has Disk cleaner, Registry Cleaner and History Cleaner options. This software can defrag your disk and registry.
8. Stop to run unnecessary programs on start up.
9. You can uncheck unnecessary options from windows performance list.
System settings >> Advanced System Settings >> Performance (Settings) >> Adjust for best performances.
You uncheck all the options except last three options from the list. This will increase the performance speed of your computer.
10. You can use a good quality software to uninstall your software.
11. Use portable versions for those software which are rarely used.
12. Keep your hard disk 25% free. This helps to work faster.
13. Use a UPS to prevent a sudden switch off because of a sudden power cut.
14. Use a good quality antivirus program and scan regularly. Also keep malware checker. For example, spybot.
15. Stop automatic update for softwares. Do not install excessive unnecessary programs. Do not run many large programs together. For example, photoshop, illustrator, animation program or video editing softwares together.
Sometimes formatting the hard disk and reinstalling the operating system after 2 – 3 years give the users faster performance. But you must keep your necessary file in some other storage.
These are the steps about how to make your computer faster. This will certainly give you the advantage of benchmarking your computer performance. Of course give me a comment after doing these processes and tell me about the effect.

Internet speed is the most important factor to browse internet from your computer and mobile. Read this how to speed up your internet connection. This articles does not merely tell you about the tips but it is a suggestion based on personal experiences throughout years. Those who have slow internet connections often feel irritated to browse internet and download files. I had such irritations earlier.

1. Browser

First clean your browser history, cookies and cache files etc. This helps browser to browse faster as it clears the channel and space to transfer internet data.
For Mozilla Firefox to clear browser history, cookies and cache files, press Ctrl +Shift +Delete key together. A dialogue box ‘Clear Recent History’ appears. Select time range to ‘Everything’ and click on ‘Clear Now’.
For Google Chrome browser click on Google Chrome toggle button, then click on ‘Tools’ and then click on ‘Clear browsing data’. Select time range and clear browsing data.
For Internet browser go to Tools button > Safety > Delete Browsing History. You can also press Ctrl +Shift +Delete key together for all browser.
Now it’s time to know which browser is better for internet speed. Every browser has some quality that others lack. So you may disagree with me about the browser speed. But according to my personal experience Mozilla Firefox is better for internet speed. Mozilla Firefox is faster comparatively and open a page within a short time in a slow internet connection. Next to this is Google Chrome. If you have the slowest internet connection and you need to see a page urgently use Internet browser. Internet browser can open a page taking a long time to transfer and collect data while other browser stops transferring and collecting data.

2. Data Card or Modem or Dongle Stick

Use a good quality Data Card or Modem or Dongle Stick (whatever you say it) to improve internet speed. Modem with a low quality (often low cost) cannot transfer and collect data faster. Many persons use their mobile phone as a modem but this does not give more speed in comparison to a modem. So try to use modem for browsing.

3. Top Up or Recharge pack or Data pack

Usually Data pack which is recharged from offer pack does not provide much speed. In this regard, try to use normal data pack that the network provider sells. Using high cost data pack provides much speed.

4. Processor

Internet speed varies upon the processor speed of your computer. Now 2nd Generation i3, i5 and i7 Intel processor with high Ghz not only makes your computer faster but also help to browse internet faster. If you are thinking how processor differs just think of a water pipe which has a wider space. It passes water easily and if the water flow is high it can easily pass. If the water pipe is narrow can hardly passers much water in a time span.

5. Operating System

Of course operating system of your computer helps to browsing internet faster. Apple Operating System is faster in browsing internet. Linux operating system also browse internet faster. For windows user I suggest to use Linux OS making their Hard Disk partition. Just make a 20 GB partition and use Linux OS and Windows together. This gives you a facility to operate dual OS. Linux Mint and Ubuntu OS are the most popular in Linux platform and certainly they are free. Linux Mint is more user friendly.

A new computer as well as a new operating system browser improves internet speed. That’s why use Windows and Linux as a dual boot system. Whenever you think it necessary uninstall Linux and again install Linux to get the facility of a new operating system. A new OS is free of all types of temporary files that slow down the computer.

We comprehend something better expressed in our vernacular language than any other language which we learn. How amazing it will be if we see our computer interface language in our mother tongue or vernacular language. Let’s learn how we can change the interface language of Windows Operating System in our computer.

Necessary Steps:

First, you need to download a Language Interface Pack (LIP).
Install your downloaded LIP.
You have to change and set some options.

Step- 1: Download a Language Interface Pack

You need to download a LIP for your language according to the version (Windows 7, Windows 8/ Windows RT, Windows Vista, Windows XP) and system type (32 bit or 64 bit) of your Windows Operating System.

If you do not know the version and system type of your Windows Operating System go to Computer and click on System Properties.
Click here to go to Windows Language Interface Pack page.

At this page select your operating system from upper right corner and then click your preferable language from the bellow. Now you will be redirected to a new page and download your language according to system type ( 32 bit or 64 bit).

Step- 2: Installation of LIP

Just click double on the LIP file and follow the instructions. It will be installed.

Step- 3: Set the options

Go to Control Panel ( To go to Control Panel click Start button > Control Panel ). Then click on Clock, Language and Region.

Then click on Change keyboards or other input methods.


Region and Language box will appear. There is a Keyboard and Languages tab. In Display language section select your downloaded language. Then click Ok button.


Now you have to log off your computer. Just click on Start button. Then click on the arrow button beside the Shut Down button and click Log Off. Your computer will be logged off and finally your computer will display your preferable vernacular language. Isn’t it amazing?

The words which are not translated in your language will appear in English language. If you want to change the language into English, you have to uninstall your language. As you have the downloaded file in your computer it can be installed and displayed later, following the above steps.

If you want to uninstall your downloaded language go to Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Change keyboards or other input methods. In Region and Language dialogue box there is a Keyboards and Language tab. In Display section click on Install/Uninstall Language. And finally restart your computer.
